Should i get the ps3 slim oe the normal ps3?

i really would like to get the normal older one but in this peice of **** broke *** country its hard to come by even the silm is hard to come by but the normal is harder so should i strugle a lill and get the one i want or just say *** it and get the slim oh yah and here they sell patched ps3 o wateva so i wont have to buy original cd's but ama try and get a normal one without patch so the search is gonna be twice as hard for the fater ps3 :/ (u ppl have it easy especially americans >.>)....
