Why are MDs so ignorant of chiropractic?

Hello. A good friend of mine is a chiropractor, and he is smarter then any doctor i have ever been to. Even when i had female problems, he always seemed to know a solution for them. My husband has severe back problems, and it gets so bad, he can't move sometimes, but when ho goes to him for therapy, he always gets better. He goes to a regular MD, and nothing happens. I think they get a bad rap because they don't have to go through as much medical school as regular doctors ( which means nothing in my eyes ), and they can't write a prescription, so people think they're not real doctors. I've to to endocrinologists, that aren't even as smart as my friend, so that whole been through more school thing is just bull. It's just like going to a holistic doctor. I've been to a few of them, and they are also more intelligent, because they diagnose you by a lot of things, not just lab results. Most ignorant doctors i've been to will look at your test results results, and if they are ok, they will tell you there's nothing wrong with you, and it's all in your head. You can be sitting there dying, and if the tests are ok, then so are you. Sometimes you have to look outside the box, which is what Chiropractors do way more then doctors. I think they deserve respect for their beliefs, and what they do. Take care.

If a doctor wants to continue drinking, then they better work in research and not practice medicine. Im 39weeks pregnant and having weird pains/discomforts. HELP!!?

I am currently 39 weeks pregnant with my first child and was dialated to a 3 for 2 weeksa nd then thursday they told me i was almost a 4. i was having consistent braxton hicks in my back for almost 2 weeks that ended wednesday, now as of today, my abdomen feels ilke i did a ton of sit ups, Im having weird discomfort down there that i cant explain, and ive been having what i think are contractions(basically feels like my stomach is an excercise resistant band and it is getting pulled) but they are not on a schedule. sometimes ill have one within 2 minutes of one, but then wont have another one for an hour or more. I have been nauseas all day, even when im just drinking water. My doctor thinks im stupid. he wont listen to me, wont give me direct answers, and wont listen to my concerns. ive tried to switch doctors but its to late in my pregnancy and ive been trying to switch doctors since my 28th week. Can someone give me advice on what to do with these symptons. i called the doctor and all he said is if the contractions become within 5 minutes apart to come in, but im nervous being dialted to a 4 for 5 days now. I was diagnosed type 2 last year and had to control it with my diet but last weeks fasting blood test result was 10.2 and the doctor has now started me on Metformin to control it. Anything above 9 needs medication. Your strips mean fasting result should be as level 1 which is normal and level 2 means medication needed and these numbers are very high and anything at 19 needs hospital attention urgently. Like the catalase test is usually used to distinguish Staph from other gram positive cocci.

Pros and cons of glass baby bottles?

Glass vs. plastic does not affect how much air a baby takes in. Certain nipples will make a difference, but it doesn't matter if the bottle they are attached to is glass or plastic. I know you don't want to hear about glass breaking, but i'll tell you my experience. I have used glass bottles for my son since he began using bottles and If you have tile floor in your house "break resistant" will not do you any good. Even with the rubber sleeves on them, if it drops on the tile in our kitchen it's gonna smash and glass will fly everywhere. I still use them, I believe the benefits of not having to worry about the plastic deteriorating and leaching chemicals into my son's milk are worth it, but i wouldn't recommend it with tile floors unless you have a shop vac and are willing to deal with occasional glass disasters.

Why Do Many Dislike The Healthcare Reform Bill?

Because it is unconstitutional by forcing americans to have healthcare. All it has done is bring more government involved in our life and now is making insurance skyrocket. My family doent even want to go to the doctor because the insurance has gotten so lousy. Also, obama didnt go after the real reason why healthcare is so expensive. Hospitals and doctors have gotten out of control with their prices because insurance companies have lost control to keep their prices down. Hospitals can charge $20 for things like Tylenol now and they do. Normal scans can be thousands. Of course insurance is going to be high. What we should have done was stop the outrageous prices and maybe people would have decent insurance again. Yeah, that gets government involved to, but not in everyone's personal lives and its going after the root of the problem and after outrageous scandals. That doesnt mean insurance companies are innocent. I do agree with the part that insurance companies cant deny someone for pre existing medical conditions. Overall, it was the longest bill that half of it wasnt even read and was still getting written when it was getting passed. Also, we dont need a massive healthcare reform change right now when we need to focus on getting jobs, our debt, and our foreign policy. Hopefully the republicans can finally repeal this and we can move on. And, when the time is right, we make an actually productive bill that will actually fix our healthcare not destroy it. Also having government, national healthcare is a terrible idea just for the simple example of our school system. Its run by the government, and look how bad it is. Would you want your healthcare run by that? Im not saying our government in incompetent, but any country with national healthcare is bad. Just look at Canada. It takes like 8 months to get an MRI, well if you have cancer, in 8 months you can be dead! What should I do about my gauged ear?

I've been stretching my ears for little while, and so far it's been going fine. However, I recently moved up to 4g and I'm now having problems with my left ear. My right ear looks perfectly fine, not swollen or messed up at all, just a hole in my ear, like it's supposed to be. However, even though I was able to fit the 4g plug into my left ear, it was hurting a little more. I took it out today, and the plug had some blood on it. My left ear lobe looks swollen, the hole looks a little closed up, and it was bleeding a little bit. I don't want the hole to shrink or close up due to me not putting any plugs or tapers in, but I don't want to risk it getting infected. I put rubbing alcohol on my ear, and on my 4g taper (I couldn't fit the plug back in), because I think this could prevent an infection from happening. Is this the best thing to do? Should I just leave it alone for a little while, not do anything (except maybe put some rubbing alcohol on it), and let it heal, or will this cause the hole to close up? Just as side note, during the time I've been stretching my ears, I never skipped a size, and I always waited at least 2 weeks before moving up to a new size, so I think my left ear may just be resistant to stretching. Don't get the Motorola cliq because they are struggling with an update, its a brick compare to current Android phones. I think the cliq is android 1.3 or 1.6 which is terrible because when you browse the android market for cool apps, its limited because makers are building apps for 2.3 or higher. I had the root canal done about three weeks ago by an endodontist, and afterward, my tooth started hurting even more. I can't put any pressure one it or I get a shooting pain that goes into my gum. I've been taking pain medicine just so I can eat and I've had a round of antibiotics before the root canal, and one after. It still hurts. I got an x-ray last Friday, but didn't get a clear answer. The endodontist said it was just inflammed and it would heal eventually and my dentist said I had resistant bacteria in there and gave me yet another round of antibiotics (3rd round), which isn't working so far. I'm getting frustrated. I'd love to be able to eat without excruciating pain.

I live in Ohio and I injured my left knee at work. My injury is covered by ohio workers compensation. My case is at the point to determine the whole person impairment percentage from my injury. Due to my injury I have had three surgeries on my left knee. The first knee surgery was a partial lateral meniscopy. The second surgery was to remove the rest of the lateral meniscus. The third surgery was a lateral meniscus allograft transplant. I still have to wear a knee brace on my left knee for support and use a cane for walking long distances. I can straighten my leg when I am not bearing any weight on it, but i cannot straighten my leg when standing. I can also only bend my knee enough to walk up stairs. I cannot fully bend my knee. I take two tablets of hydrocodone 2-3 times daily for pain. I also have severe atrophy in my left thigh. During the third surgery, I received nerve damage to my left wrist and hand from the insertion of the iv. I now have occasional numbness and tingling in my palm, thumb, index and middle finger as well as decreased gripping strength with my left hand. Due to the injury I have also been diagnosed with severe depression. For this I see a psychologist twice a month and I am on depression medication as well as medication to sleep. Without the sleeping medication I only get about 3 hours of restless sleep a night. With the medication I am able to sleep 5-7 hours. I was just looking for someone with knowledge about the guidelines and the tables. I have looked at them, but I do not understand how the percentages for whole person impairment is figured out from the tables. Any assistance would be appreciated. I'm just trying to figure out the range of percentage of disability I may be awarded based on my left knee injury and the depression. If you are able to help I would greatly appreciate it.

How do I solve this dilemma? Do I try to remove the WD40, and if so, how? Or, do I alternatively just paint over the WD40? Any ideas? I got a new controller a while back, but the two analog sticks still seem a little resistant. When I am playing a shooter game, aiming for people far in the back of a map is very difficult because I have to do slight adjustments which is VERY hard with these two analog sticks being resistant.. When and if you do bleach it, it will lift to a blondish, pinkish color because of the red you have in it. You will have to tone it to get to your desired shade of blonde to get rid of the pink undertones. I suggest using a color remover before you do a bleach wash. Color removers are less damaging. After the color remover you will still have to bleach your hair but not as much as you would if you didn't use a color remover first. Get it done professionally though. trust me the products they use are ALOT less damaging than the over the counter crap.

I don't agree with hardly anything Obama has done as President, and that is mainly because most of what he has done is eerily similar to a third term of Bush. Forget the reasoning or words behind policies, and the actions/results are pretty much the same. But who is most at fault for our current situation? My neighbors are spying on us, need help.?

we have neighbors in the back of our house, who are extremely strange. they are retired. for example, when we shoot bb guns or light off fireworks, they always either come outside or open up their window to look. at night when me and my friends sleep in a tent, they come outside at 2 am and stare at us. they also have a bright light in back of their shed that is extremely bright and serves no purpose. they always trim their bushes to fence level, never higher never lower. is their something i can to to either stop them or make them horribly mad without getting in trouble?

Personally I would chose the first option if I had to chose out of those options, and they will also keep your options for A-Level quite good too. It is definitely worth taking a language as some unis are now saying that they won't accept people without a language GCSE, and it looks good anyway. I took both German and French for GCSE, as well as doing Polish, and found Geography to be a very enjoyable course. I also know people who did both Geography and History, and although it is a lot of work they did not find it to be too much. It seems like drama is a choice that you included in most of the options you gave, so I would do that, as humanities and languages are generally better than creative subjects. It is your choice, however, and if you feel that you could handle doing 2 humanities and 2 languages then definitely go for it, as it will look good. If not, chose the subjects that you enjoy most, and will get most out of, you could speak to your teachers to find out more detail about each of the courses. I'm sorry if I've confused you more.

What should i do because i feel like my husband doesnt care about me anymore?

today june 19, 2011 was mine and my husbands 2 year anniversary. it is also fathers day. he never really gets me anything a few here and there cheap gifts last year he was in afghanistan for our 1year and i never even got a call. this year we are spending it in holiday fl and already spent his money and caters to his mother. so today they made plans at 12 pm to go to his grandfathers cemetary to visit him for fathers day and then we had to meet his great aunt for lunch which they hate her anyway. so that ended at 530 pm. so by then pretty much everything is closed and he went straight on to his computer. 7 pm rolled around and his mom decided to play rhumakube however it is spelled and because she wanted to play we had to. so we did absolutely nothing today alone. we had the chance to he never planned anything and he gets mad at me and asks me what i wanted to do i tell him and he says sorry but no money. i know we did have money but he spent it how he wanted. im especially upset because he got me a 10 dollar necklace a 5 dollar bouquet of roses and a small bag of chocolate twizzlers. he had two weeks to plan something he never even wrapped the gifts the card had maybe 4 words and he said sorry its been hard lately love you and i know i should appreaciate the thought and that he even got me something but i spent more on him then he did on me i got him a really nice watch that is water resistant and two nice cards one for fathers day and one for our anniversary also i gothim a fathers day shirt. i think i expected to have such a special day because he has never spent my birthday with me and we have been together almost four years and on my birthday which i will be turning 21 and it is a week away he will be in ca going to school for his new job. so i thought he would have thought a lil more of me then to throw a cheap necklace in a bag and hand it to me. this is the 3rd piece of jewlery and only my engagment ring is real. he isnt hurting for money so i know he coulldve of got me something nice at least once. he sees absolutely nothing wrong with the gift but i do pleaee share some thoughts thanks :)

Today I was hiking through the wetlands of California where there was some grass and bushes my leg brushed against, it looks like a drop of water from the top but it definitely is solid, I think it could be a bug bite but I'm not sure, there's a bit of red around it but it's not a mosquito bite, there is no itching and I really didn't even feel it, is it a wart? Heat resistant tape for hanging up posters?

I'm currently in the process of turning my attic into my new master bedroom. I currently use regular masking tape in my old bedroom to hang up posters with, but I know that in cases of extreme heat that masking tape will begin to fail and lose its stick. In my new bedroom I will not be able to afford to keep the air conditioner running when I am not home, and without air conditioner in the summer the room reaches temperatures higher than 100 degrees. What would be a good alternative to hang posters up with in a room that gets this hot? Do they make some sort of heat resistant tape that will not damage them?

No it comes off. Not completely but some definitely will, those don't last as long as try say they do. I got a spray tan for some occasion and I went swimming and some washed off. Go for it though it doesn't come all the way off unless you'll be in the pool for a really long time.
