What class does a beginner Cr250r rider race in?

I just got a 2004 cr250r two stroke dirt bike. It is race ready and was wondering if they had a beginner class for 250 two strokes? also can they race against 250f's? and if this helps im only doing local races that dont require ama until i know if i like it or not.
