What should I do with my car?

I have a 99 chrysler sebring lxi 2.5 coupe. It has bad bearings so ama need to change the engine in which I can get it for $800 install.the problem is I owe $2500 on the car.should I swap the engine or put the car as a down payment and w.e I have left to added to a new car?
