Help with an english essay-compositional risk, or does it just sound stupid?

It's not weird just wrong I think. I don't know spanish well enough to know if there is implied meaning to that word, but you sound like there isn't. However it sounds like you are wanting to. Unless you are adding facts to back that up, then you might want to tone it down a bit or add further insight such as saying traditional ama de casa.
